The supercharger on your F-150 Lightning creates plenty of extra horsepower and torque. It also creates plenty of heat! To help fight air intake temperature spikes, the intake manifold has an intercooler built into it. This intercooler (IC) uses coolant to help it stay cool and reduce air intake temperatures as the compressed air is forced through it. This coolant is pumped to through the IC via the intercooler pump. It is routed through a front mounted heat exchanger which reduces the coolant temps.
As these trucks are starting to age it is not uncommon to have an intercooler pump fail. Thankfully Ford Racing has come to the rescue with their M-8501-MSVT intercooler pump. It is a direct replace for 99-04 SVT Lightnings, 03-04 Terminator Cobras and 07-14 Shelby GT500s. If yours is bad, follow the simple removal and installation instructions below. You will be back on the road in no time!

Testimonial: Great Products
I am new to the Ford game. I have been a Chevy man all my life ad just recently bought a 1992 Mustang LX convertible with the 5.0 engine. Found this site and bought several items so far. Everything was shipped promptly and arrived in good condition. I am finding out what everyone loves about LateModelRestoration. Great products at great prices. Only problem is I am spending too much money at this time, my wife is tired of me telling her about the things I am doing with the Mustang. She said she feels like the "other" woman now. I sure have enjoyed working on engines again, I didn't realize how much I missed it. Think I may just stay with Ford power after this experience, definitely be buying more products from LateModelRestoration.
I've done a complete engine swap from a 5.0 to a 5.8 Windsor motor that performs nicely. I've also upgraded the entire electrical system with MSD components as well . Future projects will include twi...
