In 1996-1997-1998 to save money, the Mustang taillights were surrounded by a painted plastic bezel instead of painting the individual tail light like on the 1987-88-89-90-91-92-93-94-95 Mustang GT's. These can be painted to match your Mustang or painted black or a contrasting color for a custom look. Also chrome or black trim for 2005-06-07-08-09 Mustangs look great for a retro custom look.

Most people think that a Mustang has red tail light bulbs but in fact Mustang taillamp bulbs are clear. The Mustang taillight lens is actually what is red. Replace your Mustang tail lamp bulb and get an extra bulb to not have another reason to be pulled over, unless your officer is a Mustang fan!
