In 1999, Ford began using the PCM to supply Mustang Coolant Temerature information to the Coolant Temp Gauge. This allowd Ford to eliminate the Coolant Temperature Gauge Sending Unit & use the Mustang Coolant Temp Sensor to supply this information to the PCM.
