There is no denying that adding a set of high flow headers to your Mustang will free up some horsepower and torque. That is exactly what Kooks' shorty headers do for you 2011-14 Mustangs that are powered by the powerful 5.0L Coyote Engine. The stock exhaust manifolds on the 11-14 Stangs feature what is arguably the best factory exhaust manifold ever created by Ford; however, there are plenty of performance hindering parts built into them. The Kooks' team took the their time to vastly improve these performance robbing factory manifolds. Gone are the primaries that “Y” or connect to each other. Kooks used individual larger primaries and large collectors to improve flow. Kooks also takes their time to smooth and clean up all welds for optimal flow.

Published on 2013-06-25 Kooks Custom Headers introduced a great Mustang exhaust solution when they released the Super Street Series shorty headers for the 11-14 Mustang GT & Boss 302. These headers are a direct bolt on install and don't require any custom tuning. Best of all you pick up roughly 10 HP and can still keep your factory mid pipe and catalytic converters.

That’s right; they're not long tube headers. And yes your 2011-14 GT or boss 302 does come from the factory with shorty headers.
0:00:17 - 0:00:46 Difference is these have 1 7/8 inch primaries that allow for that extra flow to give you extra power. Plus these don't require a tune and they will bolt to your factory mid pipe or any aftermarket mid pipe that is intended to be used with the stock headers. Included in the box is a set of steel shim gaskets along with two sets of 10mm bolts. One set of fine thread the other course thread because Ford did change the faster style a couple of times between 2011-2014.

LMR is a great company with great products. I recently purchased the Gibson Catback exhaust for my 2015 Mustang Ecoboost and I love it. Easy to install, great looking tips, and best of all almost half the price than competitors systems. My main reason I decided to go with Gibson was because off the reputation and because I think after searching all the exhaust systems, their exhaust system is probably the best sounding one. No raspyNess what so ever you expect from a 4 cylinder exhaust system. It's a nice low, deep tone.
I've done a complete engine swap from a 5.0 to a 5.8 Windsor motor that performs nicely. I've also upgraded the entire electrical system with MSD components as well . Future projects will include twi...
