I am being told that this kit is not compatible and If I purchase it I will have to buy a new computer and mass air meter and fuel pump and a fuel regulator and a fuel adjuster and a chip... I am worried I am being taken advantage of by the installer..

The installer isn't trying to lead you down a wrong path. There are basically 2 options when it comes to installing a performance camshaft in a speed density car "which is what you have". Converting over to mass air on your car is the most common way to solve this issue. Tuning a speed density car to run correctly with a heads/cam/intake combination can be done but they are rather finicky, The mass air method is far more forgiving when it comes to modifications.

Hey, I have a 1991 LX and I was planning on purchasing this kit, right now it's basically stock besides a cat-back and a paxton 1220 charger. I was told that something to do with the heads will not work on a 1991 motor? Something to do with lifters? Is this true? I just don't want to spend almost $3000 dollars to find out that I'm going to need to spend another $2000 to make it work.
Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

Hey guys what's up I would like to know if this kit would work with an automatic 5.0. and is there anything I would have to upgrade? My current mods are just basic boltons which are bbk 76mm maf for cai w/ 19lb injectors, bbk 70mm tb, bbk cai, bbk shorty headers, bbk h pipe and flowmaster American thunder cat back.

This kit will work well in automatic cars. Most will run a 24lb injector with this kit, but the rest of your parts will work with this just fine.
