This kit is rated at 350 hp and 370 torque. Kits were dyno-tested on a 306 cubic inch engine with 9.5:1 compression, a 70mm throttle body, 24lb injectors, 190 lph fuel pump, mass air, and 10° base timing.

although the heads and intake would work with the speed density, you would not get the full potential of the setup. I would recommend the SVE TOP kit to work with that stock cam. .

This is a very complete and powerful setup and all the main items are there. Depending on your current setup you might need to upgrade the fuel system to get the full potential from this kit.

Was wondering why this kit isn't listed in the 1994-1995 section also. Is it a clearance issue with the hood? If hood clearance is the issue, anyone know how high of a cowl height is needed? Would Cobra R hood with 1.5" cowl height be high enough to clear? Looks like the BBK shock tower brace will clear so okay there.

This kit will fit a 1994-95 GT when used with the appropriate intake space and throttle body adapter. I wouldn't expect any clearance issues, the Cobra R hood should work just fine.

This kit will surely wake your car up. By far one of the most popular kits on the market. Not only will it give you increased performance, the sound of a cammed 5.0 cant be beat, This kit is designed to make 350 horsepower and 370 ft. lbs torque at the crank. your car is probably only making about 220 at the crank now with your listed modifications.

This kit would physically bolt up to your speed density car, however with the cam that is used, I would recommend converting to mass air to prevent idle issues as speed density relies on vacuum for proper idle.

Any aftermarket piston with 4 valve reliefs will do the job for this kit. Of course, piston to valve clearance should always be verified!

This kit has the twisted wedge heads and I thought these heads were the only ones that would work without valve reliefs or changing the 86 heads. Will this kit work with the stock 86 GT pistons

Warren, this kit will NOT work with a stock 1986 short block with flat top pistons. Valve reliefs or different pistons would be needed on a stock 86 short block.

While the heads will work, the intake in this kit is for a 5.0 deck height and will not work. We will need to assemble a kit for you. Give us a call at 866-507-3786, and one of our customer care reps can get you fixed up.
