Versatile Tubular Crossmember
Directly replacing your factory crossmember, this Stiffler's tubular crossmember give your 1994-1998 Mustang weight reduction and added strength. With it's unique mounting sleeves and spacers, this kit can easily be adjusted to fit T-45 and TR-3650 transmissions on non cobra 94-98 Mustangs. It is engineered to work with OEM and aftermarket transmission mounts while maintaining your current pinion angle. Low deflection polyurethane bushings are used in the mounts to dampen driveline vibrations and noise. For racing applications the polyurethane bushings can be replaced by optional solid bushings.

I'm swapping a tr3650 into my 98 mustang gt convertible. The existing crossmember makes the transmission sit way to high and the driveshaft yoke hits the undercarriage. Would this mount make the tranny sit a but lower? Asked by Michael A.from El Paso | Comment00

Since the 1998 Mustang GT/T45 uses an offset style of transmission mount it really limits your options of aftermarket mounting systems. With this cross member it finally you to use a polyurethane mount with no extra modding. For me, I was having an issue with my transmission moving too much (factory mount) and causing my driveline to hit a e-brake bracket but with the Stiffler crossmember and Energy Suspension Polyurethane Mount (4.1104) it no longer collides with the bracket and makes the car feel and shift so much better. I absolutely love this product!!
Also make sure you get the non-Cobra T45/TR-3650 transmission mount if that is what you have, there is a difference between the two. I tried using the polyurethane mount from Late Model (sorry guys) but it is too tall and will not fix the issue since it makes you raise the transmission up more than before and still allowed the driveline to collide. I also removed the exhaust hanger bracket and did not use any of the mount spacers that are supplied since I have torque arm and panhard bar while lowed 2.5".
Overall, great price for a crossmember that is adjustable for other transmissions, allows use of polyurethane mounts, allows more room for exhaust, and looks great!!

Bought this to replace the factory crossmember to Gain more clearance for my exhaust, and it did just that. Quality is definitely there and the finish on it is very nice. Come with all of the hardware needed install!
