This unique single tube design adds stiffness and strength far beyond that of the OEM versions while offering versatility like no other. Simply slide the mounting sleeves and reposition the spacers to cover AODE, 4r70W, tr-3550m and c6 transmissions. The crossmember is engineered to work with OEM and aftermarket transmission mounts; all while maintaining your current pinion angle. Low deflection polyurethane bushings are used in the mounts to dampen driveline vibrations and noise. For racing applications the polyurethane bushings can be replaced by solid bushings. If additional vertical adjustment is required, offset bushings can be used to raise or lower the entire mount.
Direct fit on all 4.5" wide crossmember mounts, 2.75" wide mounts will need to be relocated.
Should have taken a picture of this after it was installed, but didn't. I have been wanting this for a long time, so when LMR put it on their Christmas sale items, I grabbed it up! After pulling out the old crossmember, I knew I had made a good decision to replace it with the Stifflers. It is such a high quality item which really strengthens that area of the car, plus gives the tranny a secure place to grab onto. I had already replaced the mount with a polyurethane piece, so this made things that much stronger. The factory crossmember is so flimsy, I am surprised it is not an area of constant complaint & failure.

This product works very well. Tranny stick isn't bouncing any more going down the road. Can feel a defiant difference in power direction. It doesn't deflect as it did before. Stiffened car. Put it on my car last Friday and on Monday we ordered two more for my buddies. Very happy. It's a tight fit and may require a little man strength but a good product. Instructions don't tell you how to set up bushings for t-5 but pretty simple to figure out.

Over the winter I put a 4r70w into my turbo Fox. I modified the stock crossmember to fit but was never happy with it. If I ever wanted to drop the tranny pan I would also have to remove the crossmember as well.
I just couldn't see how the Stifflers Crossmember could fit that good, but boy was I wrong. This thing fit my 4r70 perfectly! It just slipped right in like an oem part. You cant go wrong for this price, and quality is top notch!
