The factory steel mounting rail is replaced with a substantial billet beam for more positive location; and upgraded rear mounting bushings are supplied to further reduce deflection under hard shifting. The shifter base, handle, and beam are all CNC machined by Steeda from 6061 aluminum.

NOTE: This shifter will fit a 2011-2013 GT500 but due to the change in shifter handle thread pitch, you cannot run your factory shift knob. An aftermarket knob must be used.
This shifter is much tighter and more precise than the factory. Fit and functioned well. While you don't need any special tools, I think it would be nice if Steeda mentioned which allen key and metric sockets you needed to cut down on crawling in and out from under the car. Also, they recommend dropping the drive shaft. Not necessary if you're patient, but if you'd like to remove it, you will need an impact gun to get the drive shaft bolts undone (and they require a 12 point socket).
