The stock rubber pads on my 2013 base trim left a lot to be desired in terms of grip, ease of heal-toe down shifting, and looks. I ordered these as a cheap upgrade and they are worth every penny. They are nicely finished with a satin, bead-blasted finish that should hold up nicely to wear. The edges of the drilled holes are raised on the clutch, brake, and dead pedals for grip. The pedal shape is contoured similar to the stock pedals.
Other than being a squeeze working in the floor board, installation is simple enough provided you have a good set of drill bits and a center punch to mark your holes. I didn't install the dead pedal as I have floor liners that cover that spot. If you are running carpet mats, put something down to catch shavings.
Besides adding a racier look, the added grip really improved pedal feel and accuracy of clutch engagement. I am in better control of the clutch which translates into better performance and driving enjoyment. The gas pedal is slightly wider to allow ease of spanning your foot across from the brake for easier throttle blips and your foot is less likely to slip off the brake pedal's raised surface. The one thing I noticed is that shoes with a spiked nubby sole are a bit awkward feeling, so just be aware of that.
I highly recommend this product and have had nothing but great service from LMR. It's also nice that I live 80 miles down the road, so I get my orders fast.
Had a problem with an order/quality issue. I put up a review stating so, and was contacted by Mike Linley, who was soooo nice and sooo professional, I almost felt bad about my review !! I felt the review was necessary because of bad welds/paint. Mike explained that they had a particular issue with that supplier and they had changed suppliers because of it. I must have mistakenly got an old set. (upper/lower Control arms-Foxbody). Mike asked a few questions, and was Sending me an updated replacement set while we were on the phone.!!! This is what I wish all Vendors would do; no arguments, no blame, no B.S. !! This is why LateModel stands out as an upstanding company, and backs up their products with AWESOME Customer service. Very rare in this day and age, and because of this I will be a customer for life, and will spread the good word ! Great to know some honest and Classy companies still operate in the good ol' USA.
