Direct replacement for OEM rubber control arm bushings
What's in the Box
(1) set Polyurethane bushings for 94-04 Mustang Front Control Arms
As rubber bushings wear out over time, replace your front control arm bushings with Prothane urethane bushings for better handling and better performance. Molded in black.
Fits all 94-04 models with out Factory Hydro Bushings. Hydro Bushings are usually found in Cobra models, but have been found in some GT applications.
Must re-use original bushing shells.
IMPORTANT NOTE--You must check your bushings to determine if they are standard bushings or Hydro-bushings. To determine the type of bushings in your front control arms, use a screwdriver to pry on the metal flange of the rearward bushing of the front control arm. If the metal flange is rigid and is one piece with the pressed-in metal shell, you have standard bushings. If the metal flange is movable and independent from the pressed-in metal shell, you have hydro-bushings.
Very good replacement over stock. Tightened up my front end. Takes a little work to get to them. But well worth it.

Long story short I bought these to replace the front control arm bushings in my 2000 v6. I assumed I would need the standard bushings because everywhere I looked said that the cobras and some GTs were the only models to get the hydro bushings.... Well turns out I had hydro bushings in my v6.... Yes you read that right, my v6 mustang had hydro bushings in it. It just goes to show don't assume that you have the standard bushings. I posted a picture of the standard bushing(right in the picture) next to a hydro bushing (left in the picture) for reference. The standard bushings had a step up in their diameter that makes it impossible to fit in a hydro sleeve, while the hydro bushings are consistent in diameter throughout the bushing. Anyway, back to the product, these are fantastic for stiffening up the front end and replacing worn out rubber bushings. They may be difficult to replace but trust me, you can't beat prothane, or the new car feel you get from these bushings!
Lifted or lowered suspensions, increases in horsepower, plus-size wheels and tires can subject traditional rubber suspension bushings to forces beyond their limits. Control arms, strut arms, leaf springs, body mounts, motor mounts, transmission mounts, sway bars and shocks all control movement and maintain alignment but the rubber bushings they use are designed for more "middle of the road" use. Rubber also deteriorates over time, further reducing control. This contributes to premature component failure, a "spongy" ride and less than ideal performance handling. Urethane bushings can correct these conditions, and improve drivability in your Mustang or Ford Lightning.
