5 Stars   Major Chassis Improvement

Image uploaded by mike s. Fox Convertible Must Have, I installed a complete Stifflers FIT system earlier this year and the car still had pronounced cowl shake when the top was down. This almost eliminated it. The car now handles like a modern car and is a pleasure to drive fast through the corners. I believe using the pinch weld on the firewall for its attaching point makes a more substantial connection than the middle of the firewall where it is more likely to flex. I am not sure if it makes the car "faster", however it definitely "feels" more connected and makes me feel more confident to push the car in the corners. The only thing I had to modify was installing a pair of angle cut nylon spacers under the vacuum tree for clearance in the stock location, looks great.

We will see how it does taking the flex out. Had to trim both stock camber plates, move vacuum tree up around an inch, trim the cover around my coil and move part of the coil over a bit. Did not really want to modify as much, but only took around 1 1/2 hours.

Image uploaded by Kris K. Great product, is a very well built brace. I believe this to be a better product due to its 4 point connections, I feel it to be more strong and thus do a better job. There were several issues that I had when installing that I feel should be known before you purchase. None were so great that I couldnt work around, but I really had to question weather I put it on or not.. First was the fitment of firewall mounted vacuum tree, I had to use 1/2" nylon spacers between the tree and the firewall to allow space to mount the brace and to remount the tree. Honestly I could have used 3/4"-1" spacers but I didnt have long enough screws and it would have looked silly. Secondly, you cannot reuse the coil cover unless it is modified heavily, my car being a cobra this was almost a deal breaker I really dont like looking at my coil and all those wires. I will be looking for a way to modify another cover to allow fitment. Lastly the biggest issue was that I have the hose wizards R134 A/C conversion kit, the low side hose had some big fitment issues and required some finessing to allow a good fitment. Especially on the passenger side, the low side hose connection at the canister, the hose rest on the strut brace enough so that I'm afraid of it rubbing a hole into the aluminum line in the future from engine vibration. I have placed some thick foam between the brace and the a/c line to hopefully combat this. Also the low side hose connection at the compressor required some bending and maneuvering to allow fitment of the brace. This is of course no fault of maximum motorsports, but I though this should be know before other people buy this part.

Image uploaded by Brad G. I have a 92 Feature LX Convertible with 172k miles that has Maximum Motorsports XL subframe connectors and a rear strut tower brace. Both made a difference in the ride of the car but there are still all those creeks and noises that come from the dash. Not to forget about the hood shaking when in park or at a light.

After installing the MM strut tower brace I forgot to notice how the hood (entire car) didn't shake when I fired it up. Nearly 90% of the creeks in the dash are gone. Car had less play in the steering wheel when turning and on the highway. The car just feels more solid all around. Very happy with it.

Install took me much longer than the instructions (6 hours). Could not get the brace to lay flat and line up with the passenger side pinchweld hole. My guess is because of the miles on the car that its moved a little over the years from the flexing. Decided to drill out the hole to accommodate it and it worked. Could not get the vacuum hose lines to go back to their original spot so I only used 1 screw to attach to firewall. Was able to tighten bolts without jacking up the front.

Nice quality brace. It was a bit of a pain to install, trying to have everything line up proper while drilling the holes. Installed this on my 1990 LX coupe along with MM 4point Kmember brace and seemed to tighten up things a lot up front. Less drama and noise going over rough roads, just feels like a more solid car. Still some squeaks, creeks and pops from the dash but significantly less than before.

Attached to the stiffest points on the firewall - the pinch welds, not on thin unsupported sheetmetal like other brands. All hardware included, thorough, detailed instructions. High quality, well engineered, nice durable powder-coat. MM is the best at Mustang suspension parts!

the control around the conners is amazing, the car barley leans, its so stiff! when i take off the front end lifts up evenly an transfers the weight to the rear nicely. totally worth every penny , and i wish i had done this sooner

MM products are always very well engineered and built with attention to detail this was no exception. Had to leave one bolt out of the vacuum tree and had to struggle a bit with CA intake but I think that was mostly because of the solid motor mounts that make the engine sit a little higher in the bay. But still easy to install and good fit.

Its been cold and snowy so a good time to take on a project. I don't drive this vehicle in weather so the test drive will have to wait. But the installation was easy using mostly pre-existing mounting holes and some fitting. Had to make a new bracket for the vacumn manifold.
Will test drive when the snow/salt is off the road.

Handles and rides much better, especially paired with full length sub fram connectors. My 23 yr old coupe is obviously much stiffer! Connecting to the firewall at the flange is MUCH better than the flat section, MUCH stronger connection point. Stoped the obvious flex I had in strut towers after converting to MM coilovers.

Image uploaded by Tyler C. Definitely would suggest getting a buddy to help. I did it by myself in 2 hours, just the fitting of both sides at the same time was a bit tricky by myself. But it definitely stiffened up the front end and and straightened out my camber for my tires. I'm not "stancing" like these dumb ricers anymore!

Great combo with MM sub-frame connectors already installed on 86 vert.
Installation took a little longer than expected.
Hint: Do not tighten firewall connections at first and drill install one of tower top bolts completely before drilling remaining two.

Put this in my 93' Convertible after my 331 install. Fits around the Edelbrock RPM II with ease. Transformed my convertible. I can't even begin to tell you how many creaks and rattles this eliminated. Awesome product and easy to install.

i did the subrame connectors and strut tower braces at the same time. didnt notice much difference but i sleep better knowing my chassis has a stiffy.
