Go check out the customer installed photos on the part. This will show you the location of the ball after the install. The shifter handle is musch longer than the stock and will be relocated to a different position.

This shifter does not include a new damper bushing. Your existing one must be reused or a new one purchased, available under part # LRS-7453A

01 was a transition period from the T-45 transmission over to the 3650 transmission. If your car has a 3650 transmission, this will not work with that application.

It can be turned either way. However, if you turn it any way other than how it was designed you will not engage the serrations on the shift base to the shift handle. Hope this helps.

So Im doing a aod to t5 swap in my 88 fox and I will need to get the plastic trim piece. I really like the hurst kit you have that comes with a hurst badged trim piece. But I also want this shifter for my t5 do they have a complete kit with the trim piece and the short shifter aLl in one? If not they should lol
