Jon, Unless there is a data tag still on the transmission yo may not be able to determine the date from the outside. Internally there are differences such as gearing, syncros, bearing supports etc. The casting numbers on the outside of the transmission are not always good to go by either as they are dated when the part was engineered. I would contact Modern Driveline and see if they could assist you in determining what T-5 you have.

Yes sir, this kit includes all the synchronizer blocker rings needed for the transmission. Keep in mind, that if the transmission has been grinding for a while, you will likely need to replace the slider assembly as well as the 3rd speed gear as the dog teeth a likely rounded off.

This rebuild kit only consists of the bearings, bushings, seals & synchros needed for transmission overhaul. If you have any damage to gear sets, gear clusters, or shift forks, you would need to purchase those separately from a company like D&D Transmission or someone similar that carries the actual internal hard parts

It will indeed work on both, but it does not include the Cobra style pocket bearing for the input shaft. That must be sourced separately.
