The Ford Racing M-4001-SVT373 is the same rear end assembly used in the 2011-2014 Mustang GT500 as well as the base 2012-13 Boss 302. It comes loaded with 3.73 gears, a Traction Lok Differential with carbon discs, HD bearings, 31 Spline axles, & the GT500 Finned Aluminum Rear Differential Cover.
This Rear Axle is Fully assembled & ready to bolt right in to your 2005-2014 Mustang GT or 2007-2013 GT500. All you need to do is add brakes, oil, & an upper axle housing bushing.
The black powdercoated tubular steel construction removes the flex found in the factory control arm stamping. Paired with the urethane bushings on both ends, these control arms help remove the dreaded wheel hop & keep your axle located for improved handling.
When a 2005-2014 Mustang is lowered, the rear axle becomes off-center. The addition of an Adjustable Panhard Bar allows you to re-center the rear axle to the chassis. The Ford Racing Panhard bar is constructed of 1.125" OD x.095 wall thickness 4130 chrome moly bar & fitted with low deflection urethane rod ends and steel sleeves. The mounts are offset to help clear aftermarket rear differential covers.
**This rear axle is equipped with a Traction-Lok Differential just like the 2011-12 Mustang GT500 & the base package 2012 Boss 302. Only the Upgrade package Boss 302, Laguna Seca Package, & Performance Pack 2013-14 GT500 have the Torsen Differential, which this rear end does NOT have.**
