(1)Inertia Shut-off Switch
Fuel Shutoff Inertia Switch for EFI Applications
In 1983, Ford started installing a useful safety feature in their Fuel Injected passenger vehicles. The Fuel Shut off inertia switch shuts off power to the fuel pump in the event of a rear-end collision or other major accident. It's purpose is to keep the pump from running so, in case of fire, fuel does not continue to flow from the tank. The switch can easily be reset to restore proper function of the pump. Keep yourself, your passengers, other drivers, and your 1983-1989 Mustang safe by replacing your malfunctioning fuel shuttoff inertia switch with this OE Ford part from Late Model Restoration today!
