Seat Foam Still OK?
If you are in the market for new seat upholstery for your Mustang, more than likely, you also need to invest in new some new Mustang seat foam. Over time the seat foam in your Mustang will deteriorate, to reveal the seat frame below. Not only is this very uncomfortable to sit on, but can also cause lower back pain. Our seat foam is sold individually so there is no need to purchase seat foam for the passenger side if it's still in good shape. Do your back a favor and check into a fresh set of seat foam today!
I have "played" with upholstery installation in the past and decided to attempt installing this one. I first went out on the internet and researched both Latemodel Restoration web site and TMI for available "how to" from both sources (nothing is sent with the product). I already had hog rings and hog ring pliers, if you don't, order them too. Once I saw how the existing cover was removed and new one installed using the on line information/videos, I set up a pair of saw horses and began with the back seat since that looked like the easiest of all the installs. The hardest part was finding the two screws that held the back seat in the car. I figured if I had problems with the back seat, I would then bring the front seats to a professional. I figured I could take them out and strip them to save some labor. The back seat fit like a glove and I was so happy with the result, that I decided to attempt the passenger front seat. The cover went on without a problem. The hardest part was getting the cover on the head rest. I learned from that one and when I did the driver's head rest, I stripped and removed the foam back about 4" from the bottom. This made it easier to get the head rest on and also made it easier to tack the wood back on the bottom. The driver's seat was more of a challenge due to the seat foam being worn out. If I had realized that before I took the seat apart, I probably would have ordered new foam. I didn't want to tie the car up any longer than I had (it is my daily driver), so I had some high density foam that I used to reinforce the deteriorated portions of the seat. I did the job without a full time assistant, but I had a friend help me once and my wife a second time (getting the headrest cover on). It takes patience, so if you don't have patience, farm it out!. The Product's fit and color match is excellent. The delivery was quick and the information on when it would arrive was accurate.

Every time I order from LateModel I'm always impress at how quickly they process orders. For those that work in this field in always challenging as volumes shift. Thanks for making my project a reality......
