Carson they are LED lights. The ballasts that are with the kit are to give the bulbs the right amount of voltage (LED lights take less) and as far as the heat each bulb is 25 watts and they will make a little heat but not to worry they are designed to run cool

Depending on what brand headlight you have, the plastic black ring used to hold the bulb in place will vary in thickness from brand to brand. Some brands are too thick, and you have to take and cut roughly 1/4 to 1/2 an inch off the plastic retainer so that the bowl of the LED will clear. This had to be done on one of our employees cars, and he just used a hacksaw and cut about 1/2 inch off the ring. After he did that, they went right in.

These lights will retain the high and low beam functions on the car. These lights offer twice the output of your factory lights for added safety and looks during. night time.

These will provide a similar cutoff to your factory bulbs, but much brighter, As long as the chrome reflectors are in good shape on your headlight housings, you will not see a blotchy appearance. It's a very smooth and even projection.
