If you have a full weight, street driven Mustang producing under 350 wheel horsepower that sees light track duty on street radial or drag radial tires*, this Mongoose Clutch is for you.
But wait, isn't the King Cobra the way to go? This clutch will go Rikki Tikki Tavi on the outdated, overpriced snake. This 10.5" Mustang Clutch Kit is a direct bolt in for 86-95 5.0L Mustang, 96-00 4.6L 2V Mustang GT, & 96-98 Mustang Cobra. It can also be used in 79-86 5.0L Mustang if an 86-95 Flywheel is used. The Mongoose Mustang Clutch Kit contains the Pressure Plate, Clutch Disk, Clutch Alignment Tool, Throwout Bearing, & Pilot Bearing. The Pressure Plate features a 2250lb static clamp load (compared to 2000lb stock) & maintains a near stock pedal effort. The Clutch Disk features a 5 dual-spring 10 spline hub for the ultimate in smooth engagement as well as an aggressive steel backed organic friction facing on both sides. The Throw-Out Bearing & Pilot Bearing are high quality components that will offer a long service life. The Mongoose Mustang Clutch Kit carries a 30 Day Warranty (unlike the snake clutch that has NO warranty).
