I just replaced the shifter on my 93 5.0 and the shift knob that was on the old shifter does not fit my new shifter. I think the old one was an aftermarket shifter. What is the thread pitch of the Econoshift T-5 and is it the same as a stock shift knob/shifter? Thanks!

These shifters utilize the factory thread pitch the stock shifter handle will come with. Most aftermarket will be the same. Typically the Hurst brand shifters are the ones with a different thread pitch that requires their knob.

I have the Hurst 5 Speed Shift Handle & Bezel Kit (LMR Item #HUR-5380036). Will this fit on the econoshift short throw, or should I look at another short throw shifter that it will fit on? If so, what recommendations do you have? I really like the look and feel of the Hurst handle and shift knob and I would like to keep it if possible. Thank you!

These shifters come with 2 sets of springs. The set that is pre-installed will be a lighter spring, and what comes in the hardware bag is a stiffer spring if you want a quicker return to the 3rd and 4th gear gates. If you look at the base of the shifter, the springs goes on the left and right hand side of the of the handle and are beneath the allen head bolts that are pointed straight up in the picture.
