I'm a novice repairing my 85 mustang, and I've bought my oil pan from LateModel. Now I need to replace the low oil level sensor but I need to replace the wiring that comes with it. I've looked on LateModels website but I cant seem to find it. Do they sell the wiring separate or does it come included with the sensor.

This part will not include the harness connector for a repair. You will have to source one from a salvage car to make the proper repair on your car. I am sorry we could not help out on this one.

I'll pass this info on to the product management guys Stephen. I have read on forums that a Subaru oil drain plug (20mm x 1.5) actually works. Someone else suggested NAPA p/n: 704-1046 or Dorman/Motormite #65221. Be aware that you will have to find a solution for the low warning indicator as well. Hope this helps!

Since this sensor does not see crankcase pressure, I can't say I have seen one fail and leak internally before, but the older these cars get, the more likely things like that can occur. More than likely it is the gasket that is causing your leak.
