Lightweight Aluminum Driveshaft
Get faster acceleration and weight reduction in your 2005-2010 Mustang GT with this Dynotech aluminum driveshaft. This lightweight driveshaft is a 1 piece shaft with a 3.5" diameter and .125" wall thickness for serious strength and durability. It's smaller than other 4" diameter driveshafts making it a perfect fit under your lowered S197. This beefy new design takes the worries away from breaking the stock 2-piece shaft and gives you a smooth, vibration free ride. Fits automatic and manual transmissions. Includes one piece flange, no more adapter needed!
Why An Aluminum Driveshaft?
Adding a lightweight aluminum driveshaft to your Mustang reduces unsprung weight for quicker acceleration and reduced overall vehicle weight. These shafts weigh less than factory steel shafts and are the perfect upgrade for the enthusiasts who want to get the most out of their Mustang. They can also reduce driveline vibrations for a smoother ride.

Published on 2013-10-22 The 05-14 S197 Mustangs were cursed with a two piece driveshaft that was not only weak but heavy. Replacing your heavy 2 piece design factory driveshaft will not only remove unwanted unsprung weight but it will also help with reducing vibrations and improve acceleration. Awesome upgrade to free up some weight. Still can't wrap my head around the 2 piece setup. This is how the car should have came. Weighs almost half of the stock on and it's a perfect fiit.

As a deployed service member, there are not many avenues of contacting companies back home conveniently. Between the time difference and use of wifi or morale phones, it can be challenging. Luckily the team at LateModel Restoration emailed me back quickly and gave me everything that I needed for a smoothe purchase, and a few more that followed. They were quick in reply and quick to help me out and I have my parts on the way to my home now because of it. I will be shopping here primarily and I recommend it highly to fellow Mustang folks.
