(1) Air Conditioner Accumulator With Compressor Hose
This is the air conditioning accumulator for your 1986-93 Mustang LX, GT or Cobra.It is a holding tank that is located between the high pressure and low pressure side of an air conditioning system. The purpose of the accumulator is to store and release any excess build up of the refrigerant. They also contain a moisture absorbing filter to remove moisture from the refrigerant as it waits in the accumulator, before it flows through the system again.

The line and accumulator are well made BUT, I had to cut a section away to make it fit my car. Highly recommend checking your old line where it goes into the pump to see if it is half moon or completely round to the end of line. PS All the parts are stock on my car in the A/C area. No aftermarket A/C pump issue seeing as it is stock. Perhaps there were different pumps used by Ford but I don't think so.
We apologize that you ran into problems installing this A/C Hose. Depending on the A/C manifold used, some lines encounter clearance issues and others do not. Unfortunately this is the only design of Replacement A/C line available in the market right now. I bought this exact product from a local auto part store for my 1990 Mustang GT with Factory installed AC. The metal end of the hose that goes into the compressor is perfectly round. It's the only way they come.
I had to grind a notch across almost 50% of this metal end to match the curve of the original hose I took off. It was a small pain in the butt but not too complicated. The hard part was trying to keep the metal shavings out of the new hose lol. I figured out a rag stuffed in it works pretty good.
It's not the fault of the seller, or the product itself, that it needs to be modified. It's still a high quality product.
