Many S197 Mustangs are plagued with HVAC blend door actuators that fail after a few years of service. Often times you get an audible "clicking" noise coming from your center console or behind your radio. Other times adjusting your A/C front cold to hot will not cause any change in temperature. If you experience any of these problems more than likely your Mustang has experience a blend door actuator failure.
These replacement Mustang blend door actuators are the ultimate solution to get your A/C functioning and cooling like it did when it drove off the showroom floor.
I have a 07 GT Convert and it seems that they have 2 actuators. One that uses a pivot arm (this part being reviewed) and the other with a gear instead of an arm.
This part replaces the actuator on the passenger footwell/sidewall side of the HVAC plumbing while the geared one replaces the one located in the center console.
the LRS-19616A is the motor that switches the door from AC to heater. Sounds like the one you are talking about is the LRS-19616B which selects whether the air blows out the defrost, center vents, or floor selection.
As a deployed service member, there are not many avenues of contacting companies back home conveniently. Between the time difference and use of wifi or morale phones, it can be challenging. Luckily the team at LateModel Restoration emailed me back quickly and gave me everything that I needed for a smoothe purchase, and a few more that followed. They were quick in reply and quick to help me out and I have my parts on the way to my home now because of it. I will be shopping here primarily and I recommend it highly to fellow Mustang folks.
