Upgrade Your Mustang's Headliner
ABS plastic headliners are a vacuum formed plastic product that replaces the original wooden headliner board in your Mustang. Original Mustang headliner boards are a type of pressed cardboard composite that over time will warp and crack. These ABS plastic headliner boards are made to the original factory size and shape. ABS boards are much easier to install than the original saving hours of labor for the installer who normally has to remove the old cardboard headliner, make necessary repairs and reinstall it.
These boards have a lifetime guarantee on the plastic and one year on the foam back material that is applied to the board. The plastic board comes with pre-cut holes for dome lamps, map lights, sunroof, and t-tops where applicable, the headliner cloth material however, is one solid piece and NOT pre-cut.
The original grain vinyl used from the factory is no longer available. TMI uses tier grain vinyl on all of their Fox Mustang Headliners. This headliner is the closest available color match for 1990-92 Titanium Gray.
I had this shipped to the upholstery shop to install on my '92 LX 5.0. They've been in business over 30 years so I was pretty confident they would do a good job. Unfortunately, they called me and said they installed it but it was hanging down and was too big. The instructions say it is supposed to fit without cutting and "not to cut it." It was at least 3 inches too long hanging into the hatch area. But it wouldn't stay up and they said it was "hanging down like a wet noodle." So they put it back in the box and just made one out material they had in house. Thankfully they didn't charge me any more money than their original estimate. I was unable to return to LMR for credit or refund because it was installed and there were holes where the dome light and sun visors screw in. I see other people installed it, so I don't know what the problem was with the one I had, but it was a waste of $280. Just go to an upholstery shop and they can make you a headliner for less than this cost. I paid $225 total for them to install their own headliner, and that was after they attempted to install this one, and took it out to do it again. Just FYI I've spent thousands of $ at LMR and will continue to be a customer. I'm not mad and not letting 1 bad experience taint 50 good experiences.

Headliner's fit was spot on. Having a sunroof definitely ramps up the difficulty factor but headliner looks great. Well done Late Model
Yes, I would recommend this item to a friend!

Never installed a headliner the abs really beats the factory piece. Just remember to take your time and it will come out great.

I live in Canada which makes getting parts more difficult due to shipping and availability. I decided to try late model restoration out as they are Canada shipping friendly. The order went smoothly and the parts arrived, and were exactly as i expected. Then a problem arose with one item. Now being in Canada this usually makes this a very painful experience to deal with due to the cost of shipping products back and forth across the border. Most of the time it is just easier and cheaper to just order a new one and cut the loses. Not in this case. I sent out an email with the issue and by the time I went outside to take a picture i already had a response. A new product was shipped out immediately. I could not believe how good the customer service was. This will be where i will get what i need for now on. Anyone can sell a product but it is nice to have a company stand behind what they sell. Thanks again.
