Upgrade Your Mustang's Headliner
ABS plastic headliners are a vacuum formed plastic product that replaces the original wooden headliner board in your Mustang. Original Mustang headliner boards are a type of pressed cardboard composite that over time will warp and crack. These ABS plastic headliner boards are made to the original factory size and shape. ABS boards are much easier to install than the original saving hours of labor for the installer who normally has to remove the old cardboard headliner, make necessary repairs and reinstall it.
These boards have a lifetime guarantee on the plastic and one year on the foam back material that is applied to the board. The plastic board comes with pre-cut holes for dome lamps, map lights, sunroof, and t-tops where applicable, the headliner cloth material however, is one solid piece and NOT pre-cut.
The installation video is somewhat incomplete and it is not necessary to disassemble your fox Mustang as far as the Mustang shown in the video. There is no need to removed the back rests of the back seat. Simply removing the screws from the panels and lower seat cusion will allow them to drop down enough to slip the new headliner over the top of each inner quarter panel. The lower screw of the A-pillar trim also does not need to be removed. Again, with the lower screw installed, the plastic trim can be easily flexed to slip the new headliner over each trim piece. There were only two retaining clips on my Mustang GT. Neither plastic clip (push-pin) engaged the headliner (not the old headliner or the new headliner). And I reused my old clips anyway. After positioning my new headliner, I secured the rear of the headliner in the car by installing the inner quarter panels and rear trim panel first. Followed by cutting the headliner fabric and installing the sunroof rubber seal. The last step was to install the snap-n metal trim pieces at the sides and front of the headliner, followed by new sun visors and reinstalling the dome light. The new fabric headliner fits well and looks much nicer than the original vinyl headliner installed by Ford. I installed the headliner myself, without help. Unlike others, my install time was closer to 12 hours. I don't rush and cleaning during the process is very important. I am pleased that these service parts are available to keep or beloved cars in like new condition.
Yes, I would recommend this item to a friend!

This product fit great! The install wasn't to bad. Make sure you have an extra set of hands, and the retainer clips are a must for this. It took us about three and half hours total to complete this install. Take your time and it will come out great.
