Hi, I have a 1985 Ford Mustang GT with an AOD automatic. The early Fox Bodies, as well as many other '80's cars, had rectangular Marchal fog lamps that are no longer made. Simply due to supply and demand, prices for a used Marchal are around $250 a piece in decent condition. I bought my car with one Marchal missing on the passenger side. The one that is still on the car doesn't work. I don't know where the problem is, but since one is already missing, I would like to replace the whole system. Soooo, where can I find a set of replacement fog lamps compatible with pre 1987 mustangs? I'm not looking for a set of Marchals, just something of similar size and shape or a way to mount post 1986 fog lamps on my car.

Years ago Marchal was purchased by a company called Cibie and I believe they are based out of Australia, so finding any in a local store is impossible. If you google Cibie Airport 35, that is the name of the fog light once Cibie took it over. They too have been discontinued, but you can still find them on ebay. While they cosmetically look the same, the plugs are a bit different so you have to get creative on how you wire them.
