My 91' 5.0
For some reason my Mustang has been revving up on its own lately and it will stay at that certain rpm. I believe it might be my mass airflow sensor.
What the car does is the rpms just randomly go up and it'll set there and only way to get it back to normal idle is to turn the car off and back on. Could this be my MAF SENSOR?

Those symptoms could be from a dirty or malfunctioning MAF or IAC.
They can both be cleaned easily with a EFI type cleaning spray from your local auto store.
If the car is throwing a check engine light, you could de-code it and get a definite answer too.

That is a sign it could be dirty or bad. If there is no check engine light, I would clean it first. You can buy maf cleaner at the local autoparts stores. If there is a check engine light, I would scan the code to see if it points at this. If so, its time for replacement.
