A factory OEM Ford emblem for your 1999-2004 Ford Lightning but many people simply remove the mounting tabs from the back and apply to any flat surface including fenders or even their tool box. All emblems are sold as each unless otherwise noted.
Quick Emblem Removal
Many people heat the orignal Lightning emblem badge with a hair dryer to loosen the double sided tape. Fishing line or dental floss held in each hand can be pulled behind the emblem to finish seperating it from the Lightning body. Once started, the emblem badge can be removed by placing a thin flat object between emblem and body being careful not to scratch paint. Apply light steady pressure to break the seal of the double sided tape and gently pry and pull until the emblem is free of the body.
I bought the '04 Lightning with the mesh grill already installed, which did not have a Ford logo up front. I purchase the tailgate emblem and cut off the center alignment tab with wire cutters and a box cutter. The left and right tabs fit well between the mesh and adhered well to the grill.
