Replace that stock upper rear control arm on your 05-14 Mustang S197 with an adjustable one by BMR from LatemodelRestoration.com. The single upper control arm for your 2011-14 Mustang is responsible for maintaining pinion angle and preventing axle counter-rotation. This "3 link" style suspension is ideal for autocross and road race applications as it allows the most articulation possible with a solid axle. For drag racing, however, the single, centered link becomes a weak point as the arm is only one inch thick in the middle and made from light gauge, stamped steel. Our upper control arm is made from 1 5/8" .120 wall DOM tube and is MIG welded. They are available with polyurethane bushings or spherical bearings. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat.
I used to get terrible wheel hop with the stock upper control arm, but now it's all gone. The BMR adjustable UCA is a solid well made item. The bushing is at least twice the size of the stock rubber bushing. Once you get the stock UCA off, you'll be amazed that it was even deemed good enough for the Mustang.
The install took about three hours when installing it along with a new BMR mount. I recommend a drive on lift and an impact gun to install the UCA. Expect more time needed if you need to remove the stock UCA from the original mount. Adjustment will take some time. Make sure you set the arm length to 9.5 inches (measure from bushing bolt sleeve to the axle bolt hole) to reduce the amount of time needed for adjusting it. The bolts require some very high torque values so make sure you have a torque wrench that can go up to 250 ft. lbs.

A lot more grip but there is more noise

I just had this adjustable upper and the BMR lowers installed and there is a definitely a lot more grip. There is some increased noise with a very noticeable "clunk" noise.
Note: BMR recommends replacing the stock Upper Control Arm Mount with any aftermarket control arm as clunking can occur using stock mount.
Going to try that and see.
BMR definitely makes quality pieces though.

I installed this with the upper mount. Followed the BMR instructions and did the job on jack stands. Setting the pinion angle was not difficult. The BMR upper CA & mount, LCA's and Relo brackets made a bid difference in how stable the rear end now feels. Minimal added NVH. If you are on the fence thinking about doing these mods I can recommend doing them.
