Get the rear of your 05-14 Mustang S197 planted with a set of BMR Rear Lower Control Arms from LatemodelRestoration.com Stock Mustang control arms are marginal at best. Bushing deflection combined with control arm flex creates erratic handling and inconsistent rear end stability when subjected to the added loads of performance driving. All BMR control arms are TIG welded and utilize either greaseable 90 durometer spiral fluted polyurethane bushings or Teflon lined HD spherical bearings by QA1.
Our CNC machined adjusters are made from 4130 chromoly and have rolled threads. All rod end spacers are 304 stainless. You won't find better quality components. Additiionally, BMR control arms retain the factory designed rear offset, a necessity others overlook resulting in split, binding bushings.
Just installed these last week and the rear feels much more planted. Based on one spirited acceleration run, the wheel hop is gone. Very pleased with the construction and design of these lower control arms. Installation was pretty easy. Before you unbolt anything, you want to load up your grease gun with polyurethane silicone grease (Super Lube). There are grease fittings at both ends of the control arm and the bushing surface has to be greased before installation.
LMR has got a good price on these and they got these things delivered to me very quickly, too. Great service.
BMR fabrication is one of the top manufactures of Mustang suspension components that both improve performance and increase traction. With a full line of control arms, panhard bars, shock tower braces, k-members, anti-roll bar kits, and drive shaft safety loops, you can have your muscle car handling better than ever. All BMR components are engineered to fit with precision, hold up to the extreme demands of racing, and give you the edge over your competition!
Had a problem with an order/quality issue. I put up a review stating so, and was contacted by Mike Linley, who was soooo nice and sooo professional, I almost felt bad about my review !! I felt the review was necessary because of bad welds/paint. Mike explained that they had a particular issue with that supplier and they had changed suppliers because of it. I must have mistakenly got an old set. (upper/lower Control arms-Foxbody). Mike asked a few questions, and was Sending me an updated replacement set while we were on the phone.!!! This is what I wish all Vendors would do; no arguments, no blame, no B.S. !! This is why LateModel stands out as an upstanding company, and backs up their products with AWESOME Customer service.
