BMR's tubular K-member uses an integrated mount system, saving up to 5 lbs. over the competitions' designs. The OE K-member with motor mounts weighs 44 lbs. while the integrated design weighs only 24 lbs., a 20 lb. weight reduction. Designed to be used with BMR or factory A-arms and spindles. Fits V6 and V8 models. To some, a tubular K-member may seem like a complicated and difficult installation, however in the '05-10 Mustang it can be done in 2 hours with hand tools!
NOTE: BMR K-member replaces the heavy OE hydraulic motor mounts with high durometer polyurethane bushings resulting in increased noise transmission into the body. These bushings are designed for minimal flex and are identical in size and durometer to what is used in Prothane and Steeda's billet motor mounts (the only difference is that they are integrated into the K-member design) It is important to note that decreased motor movement from stiffer motor mounts will create additional noise and vibration into the body.
BMR fabrication is one of the top manufactures of Mustang suspension components that both improve performance and increase traction. With a full line of control arms, panhard bars, shock tower braces, k-members, anti-roll bar kits, and drive shaft safety loops, you can have your muscle car handling better than ever. All BMR components are engineered to fit with precision, hold up to the extreme demands of racing, and give you the edge over your competition!
Well me and my girlfriend had a day off and decided to take a road trip to Late Model Restoration. Let me tell you, we had the best CUSTOMER SERVICE ever. Jay was very helpful and knowledgeable about the parts I purchased. The showroom was clean and inviting. Also I got to meet JMAC that host's all of their YouTube videos. They also had project BLUE COLLAR in the parking lot, and it is NICE. I will recommend Late Model to everyone I know...
