BBK has made it easy for you add extra horsepower to your Fox Body Mustang thanks to their cold air intake kits. There fender well mounted intakes pull cooler air from outside the engine compartment. They are available in both Chrome and Blackout finishes.
Follow along in this video as the guys from BBK Performance show us just how easy it is to install one of these intakes on a 5.0L EFI V8 Mustang. Installation will take you roughly 30-45 mins.
Each BBK Cold Air Intake includes all the needed hardware to install the intake. It even includes detailed instruction to help make your install go smoothly. Don't forget to pick up a matching BBK throttle body and mass air meter to finish off your intake system upgrades.

You can easily add an extra 10 or more horsepower to your five liter fox body Mustang by installing a cold air intake. Now the group over at BBK Performance has been designing and building cold air intakes right here in the United States since, well, since the Fox body Mustang has been sitting in the showroom floor.
Now today we are going to take a closer look at their Fenderwell mounted cold air intakes. And these are available in the classic chrome finish, and my personal favorite, the sinister looking black out addition. Now each one of these cold air intake kits include new piping, a high flow air filter, and all the hardware you need for the installation. They also include a detailed set of installation instructions to make sure that install goes by as easily as possible. Now this intake is designed to fit the '89 to '93 mass air meter five liter engines and it will fit the '86 to '88 model Mustangs with the speed density system. All you need to do is pick up one of BBK's adapter tubes. Now if you truly want to maximize the performance of your BBK cold air intake, go ahead and pick up one of their power plus series throttle bodies and one of their larger high flow mass air meters. After removing the entire stock air system from the vehicle, attach one of the supplied couplers to the throttle body. Then insert the high flow inlet tube with the BBK label facing the passenger side. Connect a second coupler to the mass air sensor housing, then slide it on to the other end of the air inlet tube. After attaching the remaining coupler to the air filter tube, place one end through the supplied Fenderwell bracket, and connect the other end to the mass air sensor. Then fasten the Fenderwell bracket to the vehicle with the supplied hardware. The trickiest step of this installation involves reaching the air filter through the underside of the Fenderwell and slipping it on to the end of the air filter tube. Once you've got the air filter on, go back and tighten up all the clamps, not forgetting to reconnect your mass air sensor, and you're all set.
