A quick and easy way to add some extra horsepower to your 6.2 liter Ford Raptor is to install one of these Airaid cold air intake kits. Now, these intakes not only add extra horsepower, but they also will improve your fuel economy and install in just about 30 minutes. Now, speaking of installation, let's go ahead, go back here, and walk you through the installation.
Once you remove your factory intake, you can now assemble the Airaid intake. Start with the upper coupling. Next, you will need to install the intake tube to the heat shield with the two supplied Allen head bolts and washers. Take the supplied Airaid filter and install it on to the heat shield. Install the mass air meter onto your Airaid intake tube.
Be sure to use the supplied hardware. Do not reuse the factory hardware. Take the intake assembly to your Raptor and install the heat shield on to the lower factory air box. Be sure to snap all three clips down onto the heat shield. Install the upper coupling to the factory air box. You can now plug-in your mass air meter and you're done.
All right. So we've got the Airaid cold air intake installed on our Ford Raptor, and, well, as you can hear, it sounds great. It performs well. The throttle response was a big plus. I can definitely tell we picked up some horsepower thanks to the huge intake filter that came on there, as well as this intake had a matte black finish that looked great under the hood. It really looked like it should have been there from the factory.
