This Anderson Power Pipe® is designed for stock 90mm Lighting meter, Abaco 97mm DBX, PRO-M 92mm and Velocity 95mm on 1999-2004 Ford Lightning 5.4L applications. Anderson Power Pipes feature larger high flowing rubber boots and larger diameter Ceramic coated pipe for a higher flowing, cooler intake charge that adds H.P. to your already potent Supercharged Ford Lighting.
The Power Pipe™ with Velocity mass air is worth as much as +14 hp at the real wheels over the stock air intake and filter. The higher the horsepower level the bigger the gains you will receive from the Power Pipe™ and Velocity meter.
AFM Power Pipes were developed because of the need for higher volume, better flowing intakes needed with the higher airflow demands of supercharged applications. With the volume of air these engines need, the small factory rippled intake pipes are too restrictive and the cold air intake pipes are too small of volume. They rely on the cooler intake charge to gain H.P. AFM dyno tests each Power Pipe® to verify H.P. gains.
Not a big fan of this air intake setup. The rubber boot that goes on the throttle body is not molded so it would slip on. I have to fight it, to go on. Like a pain in the butt hose. Then with the filter on it is a fight to get it in the whole thing down. The gap between the filter and the inner fender, there no gap maybe less then half a inch.
