My wife and I ordered the Mustang GT from the factory in ’91. It was our primary car until about 3 years ago when she urged me to find something newer for her to drive. I didn’t mind ‘cause I knew I’d finally get it back. Yes, I am patient. Too many other toys prevented it from taking a spot in the garage, so its primary parking spot has been the driveway for the past 23 years. With the help of Lee at Late Model Restoration over the last year, I’ve spent a lot of time rebuilding the suspension and drive train (ball joints, struts, shocks, brakes, clutch, exhaust, SVE lowering springs) as well as the interior to bring it back to the way it looked when we first got it. The body paint is original, but I had the lower part of the car and the bumpers repainted recently. The ’93 Cobra wheels are mated with 245/45/17 Continental DWS tires in front and 255/45/17’s on the rear.
