My passion for the Mustang runs deep, and my ownership of a ’98 coupe is what started my entire family on the path of Mustang madness. When I first entered the high performance game, I acquired a True Blue ’01 Cobra convertible that I slaved to finance. The Cobra was truly a special vehicle, but it was totaled tragically in circumstances I could not control. I was devastated, but through patience and perseverance, I moved from natural aspiration to the newfound excitement of a ’03 Terminator vert.
I enjoy my ’03 immensely, and I am slowly personalizing it to my exact taste. Currently, the Cobra features the combination of a JLT cold air intake, C&L MAF sensor, BBK throttle body, Fluidyne heat exchanger, and 2.8” supercharger pulley. Exhaust gases flow through a Bassani catted X-pipe and Bassani mufflers, and brushed aluminum coolant tanks in the engine bay and a Classic Design Concepts light bar in the cockpit improve the Cobra’s good looks. To get the most from the Cobra, it has been dyno tuned by Pro Dyno with results of 458 RWHP and 496 RWTQ.
I have big plans for the Cobra in the years to come. There are plenty of modifications to be made and projects to pursue, including all that is necessary to turn my dream of a snake that can rip up a road course into reality. I will see great things come about with a little more patience and the support of my Mustang-crazy family.
